The First Step The first step is to dialogue with Tobin about the following: 1. What are you looking for? For example, a mural, a piece of fine art etc. 2. What size of work are you looking for? Please measure the area by height and length in feet. 3. What is your preferred subject matter or theme? Crystal clear photo references are always welcome. 4. Do you have a time frame? If it is a mural, you may specify beginning and end dates. For fine art, only an end date is necessary. Name the specific location of the work. If a mural is desired in an out of town location, please send photos so Tobin may see what type of surface the wall is, and what kind of obstructions may exist. It is also important that he see where the windows and doors are so he may incorporate these into his design. The Design On average it takes 2-3 days to plan and design a hand painted mural. This includes dialogue with you, internet research and designing the concept. After discussing your needs and researching subject matter, Scott Tobin will draw upon years of experience and formal training to create a composition of the proposed artwork. He will then email you a picture of the design for your approval. This is your time to suggest adjustments and add or take away details from the proposed painting. The fee for this initial design is included in the total cost of the work. |
